OUR HISTORY

For over a century, Nappa Gioielli has combined experience and passion for jewellery, passing it down from generation to generation. Today, the third generation of the family is committed to strengthening its brand by constantly selecting and presenting new collections of exclusive jewelery from the best Italian and international brands.

The story begins in 1920, when the young and skilled craftsman Michele Nappa opened the first shop in via San Biagio dei Librai, in the heart of the historic center of Naples.

Michele Nappa's precious showcase was immediately characterized by research and creativity in the production of jewelery with precious stones.

Michele is joined by his two sons Luigi and Vittorio, and upon the death of his father Luigi becomes the manager of the family business. His passion for art certainly influenced his taste and predisposition for beauty. Luigi immediately demonstrates his ability to purchase precious stones of rare beauty and his ability to direct and create wonderful objects from the hands of skilled craftsmen, chosen with care and expertise.

In 1950 the young Luigi met Anna, who also came from a family of Neapolitan jewelers and who would later become his wife. In 1971 Luigi, together with his wife Anna, who has always been at his side in running the business, opened a second shop in Chiaia, in via Gaetano Filangieri where the business currently continues.

Luigi and Anna's son Michele Nappa junior soon joined the company and was educated from an early age in the study of precious stones. Michele inherits from his father the passion for precious stones and art, bringing not only his extraordinary ability to find the most innovative jewels, but also a keen eye for new and contemporary design. Its characteristic was in fact that of anticipating and perceiving the new, creating different jewels of a contemporary and almost avant-garde taste, but always with a classic base which determined their success and their portability.

History repeats itself and Michele marries Marina, who also comes from a family of jewelers, and together they dedicate themselves with passion to renewing the image of Nappa Gioielli. Marina learns from Michele the style of the Nappa family to which she adds her personality. Unfortunately, Michele passed away at just 47 years of age and the management of the company passed to Marina. Marina's commitment, in the wake of her predecessors, continues to be that of choosing "beauty" for her customers and so over the years the Nappa Gioielli boutique has been enriched with a new catalog of big names in Italian and contemporary jewellery. But not only. As he learned from the late Michele, he combines a production of thoughtful and designed objects, knowing how to blend a classic and sometimes slightly romantic feminine line with contemporary materials and essentiality to respond to the ever-changing needs of customers.

Marina was soon joined by her two daughters. The second daughter Alessandra is the first to enter into the management of the family business. His contribution brings a breath of freshness and spontaneity. Great attention is given to the latest trends, in such a way as to offer an always current and modern choice even for a younger audience who is starting to approach the taste for jewellery. And finally comes the eldest daughter Camilla, who in the wake of her father and grandfather's interests, has demonstrated her passion for art by working in important contemporary art galleries. His entry into the company brings an "artistic" point of view to the choice and production of jewellery, but also the increase in the use of web marketing strategies.

Today an all-female company offers online sales not only with the most important names in Italian jewelery but also with an artisanal and exclusive product in which research and passion for beauty come together, giving life to jewels capable of make every person dream.
